Edward Renner has pursued woodworking since retiring as a university professor. He taught psychology at the Universities of Pennsylvania and Illinois, and recently as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida in the Honors College.

As a psychologist, he has always been interested in how the mind processes what we see and experience. In his woodworking, he has continued to explore this relationship between our perception of the world and the physical reality of the objects and experiences of everyday life.

He lives in Etowah, NC, and is a member of the Carolina Mountain Artists Guild. His work is available in the Carolina Mountain Artists Store at 444 Main Street, Hendersonville, NC.

He continues to write an academic blog on the question of our time: “How to live peacefully and sustainably on a crowded planet in the 21st century” at http://forumsforafuture.blogspot.com
