Lane is a retired psychologist. He has spent the last 20 years developing his photographic eye and skills. His work includes traditional scenics (landscapes) and wildlife, with an emphasis on North Carolina subjects.

He also produces art photos using a variety of processing programs to create unique interpretations designed to capture the interest of the viewer. He welcomes feedback regarding his work.

Lane and his wife, Gail, have resided in Flat Rock for four years.
